Fule pump problem
OK guys Plz help me out .. I had my car a 01 type-S running in my yard and it ran out of gas. So I disconnected the battery because I was having some power problems.. Well when i went and got gas filled up the car wont start it crank but does start...? I check all the fused and nothing was wrong.. I check the fuel pump that good I even changed the key got a new one with a new chip that didn't work.. I also check the cut off switch that fine and the anti theft light is not on so... I dont know why my car wont start.. I gave direct power to the pump and it start up just fine so can anyone help me ??

the process above by bfsgross is a hard reboot procedure to clear all computer module memory. (disconnect negative terminal - car's ground, touch and hold to positive terminal of the battery for 5-10 secs) trust us, its safe
Since you ran your car dry, I'd also turn the key to the 'on' position, let the fuel pump run to fill the lines, maybe a couple minutes, before trying to crank it. The car can't instantly get fuel. That is also assuming your fuel pump is working correctly and can run.
Put more gas into it, a couple gallons may not be enough to get it all to the front of the engine. I'd fill it to 1/4 tank, at least.
And please, in the future, don't let it run out again; these cars do not like to be run out of fuel.
