For all the Jag Techs. I have a 2002 S 3.0
Question is:
Will the 4.6 Mustang engine and trans fit in the S
Exh. can be made up, no problem there.
Driveshaft can be made also.
Wire harness and mustang computercan be used also.
Will 4.6 fit.
The 3.0comes in the Mustang, I think.
That way I stop any 55R trans problems for good.
Thanks Guys

probably wont just fall in.. different thing will have to be cut and welded to make things.. work.. and the electronics.. wud be challenging to work in to the rest of the system.. i have a 4.6 and it looks pretty big i think bigger then the 4.0 liter. seems a bit challenging..

You'll need custom headers and custom motor mounts. The eletronics for the car can be truncated to make it still run and no warnings lights. easy. the 4.6 can run a simple engine management system. If you find a guy like my local wizard he'll just stick a 4.6 harness in the car and splice it in.
I'd take the 4.6 and the tranny together. Don't futz trying to match bellhousings = custom driveshaft. I've seen it done on cheaper cars. The smaller Ford Sierra takes a 4.6 or 5.0 without issue. The jag engine bay will take it.
