Unhappy Gearbox fault S type v8 1999

TRANSMISSION MADE A NOISE.
PULLED TRANNY, REPLACED ALL CLUTCHES, AND SEALS. FLUSHED TORQUE CONVERTER, REPLACED BROKEN RING GEAR AND DRUM. T WAS BUSTED AS RESULT OF SNAP RINGS BREAKING.
RESULT: NO FORWARD GEARS.

Took the car in to Jaguar, These faults came up; P0066;P0443;P0743;P0755;P0760;P0779;P0797;P799;P10 00;P1380;1385;P1747;P1760;P1789.
DESCRIPTION:
PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID 2 SHORT CIRCUIT
3 VARIABLE FORCE SOLENOIDS SUPPLY TRANSMISSION CONTROL LINE PRESSURE AND GEAR SELECTION IN TH TRANSMISSION. THE CURRENT COMMANDED THROUGH EACH SOLENOID BY THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE REGULATES PRESSURE WITH RESPECT TO POWER TRAIN LOADING, AVAILABLE TRANSMISSION PUMP OUTPUT AND SHIFT CONTROL CALIBRATION. RANGE 0-1 AMP.

SYMPTOMS:
HARSH SHIFT QUALITY, SOME FORWARD GEARS DISABLED. DIAGNOSTIC CHECK: A FEEDBACK CIRCUIT IN THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE MONITORS CURRENT THROUGH THE SOLENOIDS. POSSIBLE CAUSES: SHORT TO GROUND ON PIN B13. MONITORING CONDITIONS: CONTINUOUS
RELATED CODES:P0775;P1789;P0779
MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT: ON.

FITTED NEW SOLENOID
STILL NOT RUNNING IN ANY FORWARD GEARS.
IF I REMOVE FUSE ON TRANSMISSION CONTROL SOLENOID, I CAN MOVE FORWARD, LIKE IN LIMP MODE.

Did you repair the trans. yourself? If yes, you're either a trans. mechanic or got huge *****. Assuming the trans. was properly diagnosed and repaired...Did you perform a hard re-set of the ECU? Likely did if the trans. was removed. Was the shift linkage properly installed and all ECU to trans. electrical connections inspected before clipping them together? How's the trans. to body grounds? Is the battery up to par? One weak cell can cause faults. If the trans. and trq. converter were properly repaired, you'll likely find the solution along the path I laid. Re-check your work and keep us posted.

Default Thanks for the input. Torque converter?

The torque converter was not overhauled, just flushed.

I was told that the torque converter cannot be damaged if I get reversewith full load. The torque converter doesn't know if the vehicle is going forward or backwards.

Any input on that?

If I put the vehicle in reverse, it is 110%. No problem.
Forward, nothing if the wheels are on the ground. If I lift the wheels of the ground, it takes forward gears, but the wheels can be stopped by applying a bit of braking. Can't take load.

Regarding the connections and harness, I am taking the whole harness out tomorrow, and will test and inspect it from front to back.

New battery, but will test with another one as well.

Thanks

Trq. converter is good. Great, your inspecting harness. Along the way you'll likely find the culprit. Did you perform the trans. rebuild? All solenoids good/new? Please keep us posted.
