Bacardi, ignore the last post, I was doing a vehicle specific search on their site incorrectly. When I do a search, GD1602 doesn't come up, these do:

EBC Brakes Part # GD1411

Rotor; EBC 3GD Series Sport Slotted Rotors; Set of Two; Front; 12.6 in. Dia.;

Sell Price: $245.88

For a set.

Hopefully you got the correct parts. $316 for F/R brand name rotors seem VERY cheap for this vehicle.

Thanks for your concern; it APPEARS I did order correctly...When I do a vehicle search, I get the GD1411 you pointed out with a 12.6" diameter and a USR1602 with a 14.4" diameter. Guessing the site's software doesn't filter the base vs the R. I was going off OPs parts numbers since a couple of people even verified them to be correct. Hopefully they fit.

Here's the direct link to the GD1602: EBC Brakes GD1602 - Rotor - Truck Pro USA

Email reply from Truck Pro:

"Yes, GD1602 fits 2005 JAGUAR S-TYPE R 4.2L : : V8 : GAS FI : MFI Supercharged B "

I see the difference in diameter now, I did another search and they both came up. I wonder why the smaller ones are more than double the price. Maybe less demand, who knows.

I said screw it and cancelled my order with brakeperformance.com and got the 1602 fronts with Redstuff pads. With rotors and pads it came out to less than just the rotors at brakeperformance.

They were $298 last night, must have dropped the price overnight. They come with regular semi-metallic pads for free but I'm not going to use them so I got some Akebono 938's from Amazon for $98. Vance has had great reviews on these exact rotors and has had them on his R for a while now, he knows his sh*t. Absolutely cannot beat the price, and from what he said, they are Centric's. I'll let you know about the noise after installation.

hey bull these are what i ordered and they were so noisy I at first thought something wass literally wrong with the install so i took it all apart and did it again but still unbearable. My wife( i know I know) would not even drive the car until I returned them and got the drilled only... maybe the pads will make a difference so i am very curious as to your experience

I ended up going with the EBC rotors and Redstuff pads. Hopefully they wont be noisy. I just cant wait until the day comes when one jaunt around town doesn't deposit absurd amounts of brake dust on my rims.

What kind of pads were you using? What kind of noise, like a scraping?

We'll see what happens I mean they are dirt cheap and from a reputable company. I mean the pads were more than the rotors.

I have the cross-drilled and slotted and Jason is right they are noisy but only when driving next to a jersey barrier or next to a huge wall. I only hear it at very low speeds when I drive next to a wall and I have gotten used to them. They are still looking like the day I got them and have not cracked. They have gotten some pretty good workouts in the last few months too. Been running them for about 10 months now. I really got to get off my butt and get my rear brake video editted so I can get that up to go with my front brake video. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks when I'm done with my busy summer semester.

I'll try and get a video of the noise in the next few days for an example.

Bacardi, did your order for those GD's go through? Here is the email i just got from Truck Pro USA:

OK HERE'S THE SCOOP. THE GD ARE NOT AVAILABLE (WE'RE DELETING THEM FROM THE SITE TONIGHT).THE USR VERSIONS ARE AND I DON'T KNOW WHY THE 1602 IS SO MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE GD BUT HERE'S WHAT I CAN DO...

USR1602 $464.23 NORMALLY. 5% OFF IS $440.02 BUT I'LL DO $420 ON
THOSE.

I KNOW IT'S A LOT MORE AND I'M SORRY THERE'S NO WAY TO GET THE GD ROTORS
JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.

Basically he told me they talked to their EBC rep and they dont manufacture or carry them anymore. Look slike Im back to square one with Brakeperformance.

I got the same thing, apparently they're discontinued? I'll dig around more and maybe there's some on the shelf somewhere and keep everyone posted...

Don't you hate it when stuff shows up as in-stock on a website and then they say they don't have it...... Pet peeve of mine.

Sorry to hear of your luck fellas, keep after it.

yes go back to brake performance and order the crossdrilled only.. db 20018 and db20019.. which are the black.. looks great. dont know why the rears state call for price. When I got mine i paid around $550 bucks for everything. Cant beat the free ship and lifetime on the rotors. They suggest the front pads be the premiums ps09380

Just get the brakeperformance ones. Mix them with Akebonos and you will be happy.

Vance, the look is incredible, but to get your setup is $700, I simply can't justify that much. I'm pretty sure they won't ever crack...Reason being, they're not drilled, we have huge rotors, B.P. mixes in other metal and guessing most of us are not racing.

Common reasons drilled rotors crack, drilled all the through, including the fins (usually the no-name brands), nearly pure cast iron which is extremely brittle (common on the no-name brands) and constant racing.

So go for plain rotors then since all you're getting is a cosmetic change with the potential of other issues like noise. Centric has plain rotors for this car. Someone on here has successfully used them.

Did they raise their prices? Brakeperformance was under 500 when I got them. That was for both front and rear shipped. Not sure the exact price I just know it was under 500. They are cross drilled and slotted which I think where a little cheaper then just cross drilled.
Brakeperformance will have the Centric plain rotors pretty reasonable. They actually use Centric plains to make the cross drilled and their slotted rotors. They just order the plain rotors and then do all the machining in house so they are essentially the same rotors.

I also paid less than $450 for all four, but mine are cross-drilled and but not slotted. They are holding up very well and look great!

I'm including the cost of Akebonos...Just the rotor seem to be at around $476 shipped...

I'm going to see if mine can be turned...

I wouldnt get them turned unless it's absolutly nessesary. If you dont get any pulsating then I would give them a good cleaning. Then check for grooves caused by running the pads to long and then check that the thickness is within spec. If all is good I would clean then reinstall. Getting them turned is just going to make them thinner.

So OP, did you find EBC rotors anywhere? I've tried multiple vendors, no dice...
