Greg, what do you mean with the 3 lb pulley requiring a "...larger charge cooler fittting"?

They do, but I do not recomment the lower for the price and how difficult it is to install and not install proper, even when they did on it a XJR at thier own shop, my buddy was nto pleased at all, and he paid them a hefty dollar amount too to install it....

If ya gunna do a pulley that knocks the blower boost into the 15 lb range ya better have a way to cool the blower intake charge down. Without a cooling device its likely the ECU will pull the timing back before the end of a 1/4 mile. I'm curious if Mafioso's air intake tube will help cool her off a bit? Today I ordered Mina Galleries front bumber wire mesh insert. Chris and I spoke of the 3 lb pulley but he suggested a 2 1/4 lb pulley due to not grinding down the blower snout and less heat produced. He's searching for this pulley for me. Grinding down the blowers snout and dealing with high charge cooler temps. is not exactly my cup of tea. Furthermore, he no longer sells the 3 lb upper pulley nor lower crank pulley because of incidences of cracked blower noses, hardship and cost of install, and reliability. I'm awaiting his call hoping he found a 2 1/4 lb pulley. In the meantime we discussed the STR's exhaust manifolds. Chris said they more closely resemble header collectors than exhaust manifolds and they are adequate to build power approaching 500 hp. He said headers would surely increase flow thus power, but would necessitate moving the cats further downstream.

That's a new one?? Have not heard of a 2 1/4 lb pulley?

Yes the exhaust manifolds look pretty good but with a STR I can't help but think headers would be a good modification? Here is the stock STR manifolds. Supposedly the regular 4.2L have the same ones.
