This week I had the unfortunate experience of selling my 2005 S-Type. Frankly I couldn't put up with the issues anymore. This car was like a fickle girlfriend that always ordered the lobster and then took it home in a doggie bag. From day one it was a love affair destined to doom.
I wish good luck to the new owner. May he have an infinite checkbook and a great mechanic.
The truth is I truly loved that car and definitely shed a tear after a few drinks last night. I wanted it to be perfect and spent every dime I could to make that car showroom condition. It just got to be too much.
I say thanks and goodbye to all on this site who were helpful with diagnosing my problems and offering fixes. Thanks to JoycesJag for the Center Caps. May your experiences fair better than mine.

AJ, here since we haven't heard from you in awhile, I figured your vehicle was behaving.

It is a bummer saying good bye to a vehicle that you loved so dearly, but brighter horizons are in the future.

"Cat fever" does infect us and hopefully, time will ease your pain and you can find your way back here.

 

AJ, perhaps it's time for an STR? I know...you need some time to think it over. Take a little time off, but think about it.

I completely understand. I will never let a vehicle raid my wallet, regardless of how much I love it. When it continually asks for more and more money, it's gone....
