Default Got my car back!! Connecting OEM hid headlamps to non-HID S Type

hi whatz up every one. i just got my car back for the dealer. i have my new HID'S/projectors headlights. i tried them out to see if the would work and everthing work but the hids. Ok i know the wiring is not the same for HID'S and NON-HID'S. what do i have to do to make them work on the car. how do i wire them up. dose any one have DIY write up would be great. i read all the thread's and did not find anything realy on how to do it.

hey bobby, glad to hear you got it back, hope it looks and drives like new! im not sure about the headlights however i know there is also a module that works with the xenons, not sure if non xenons had it and /or if you need it for the xenons im sure one of the techs will let you know shortly!

HID bulbs won't do you any good if the car isn't equipped for HID headlamps. HID's require a ballast. You'll have to buy a kit online. Quite a few of us have done it with the X-Type and it was a fairly straight forward install. I'm not sure about the S-Type, but I know that I've heard of a few people here installing HID kits.

So it's possible, but you just can't go plugging in HID bulbs into a car that isn't properly equipped

thanks for the adivce. i have OEM projectors headlights,d2s bulbs and ballast form the factory that i got. but my car did not come with OEM projectorsHID's. i know kits work on the car, i have HID's h7 8000k on it now with the halogen headlamps assbmely now. i need some help makeing the new oem projectors headlights work on the car, that never was made for it. i need some wiring help orsome thing to make them work. thanks every one for ur help
