Yup! I was on some country road in the middle of nowhere. I didn't think I was that close, but the cop said it was less than the 2 second rule.

LOL they actually pulled you over for that! Its used to place blame for a rear end accident... I have never heard of anyone being pulled over for it.

Second though that was the reason to check you out and see why you were in TX an if you might be carrying drugs, illegals etc.... No officer pulls you for a waring... its a legal what you up to son!

A warning for following to closely on a country road? OMG! The cop def. eager to fake a stop for a possible drug bust. He also forgot to bust a headlight out then write it out. Sounds like the dude came right out of "Porkys". Backwards *** state.

It was on US Route 77 right outside Refuigo. We saw at least another 6 cops after the one that pulled me over.

Sorry to hear it happened also but that was the officer not a Texas issue. I also live in Houston and we must remember Texas is unusual in that you have 3 top US cities in population that are totally different then you have rural and small town flavor also. This is all before you add Austin and El Paso to the mix....

We also must remember this is how a lot of small towns keep the lights on by writing tickets to those that drive through.

I got a warning back in december for following too closely, then the cop hassled me as to why I got off the exit after he pulled out to come after me. I switched over to the right lane to exit so I could get gas and in doing so I apparently ended up too close to the back of a semi. Then he thought I was lying because I drove passed the first gas station. I told him I don't go to BP.

Holiday weekend. Cops are out like crazy. Gotta bring in the revenue since its coming up on summer and alot of people traveling for trips this Memorial Day. They saw the out of state tags and figured they could try and get some revenue but found nothing. Oh well maybe he just wanted to check out the STR.

That is the truth it was crazy coming up to SC for the long weekend. I normally may see one on this trip and it was almost one ever ten miles yesterday!
