Adjusted my gearshift cable today - now spot on! Thank you forum!!!
I have been examining the car mainly to familiarise myself with what is where! Mmmmmh - complex isn't it!
I have a very complete service history and a plethora of handbooks in the nice S Type leather case - strangely all the books are for the later model!
So, is there a download for the owners handbook/manual and if so would you kindly direct me to it!!
Thanks in advance - also just traced the clonk from the front end to worn ARB bushes

He needs a yr 2000 handbook, your link goes to a 2003 handbook download.

 

Maybe Jim could clean up that thread a little. Topix seems to go back to 2001, handbook is available there

I have had good luck on EBay getting the correct factory handbooks.

For some reason I still like to keep them in that nice Leather Jaguar folder in the glove box. Still don't understand how people loose these things but I guess it's like the keys. Many people run around with one set of keys. Just seems like an accident waiting to happen!
