Hard noise from the throttle body? Please help
Goodnight
I'm the owner of a 2001 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 238PS VIN FM17966
I've started hearing for a few months now a loud humming noise under the hood that increases when I accelerate the car. It sounds like a fan blowing a lot of air or a turbine or something similar.
This noise is quite annoying and it is present no matter if the engine it's cold or hot..
I bought the belt, the two idler pulleys, the crankshaft pulley the steering pump, the AC compressor, the alternator, the water pump and the belt tensioner.
I've replaced everything and the noise is still present.
The tests I have done are the following:
Remove the belt and start the engine: The noise is present
Change all the parts in the front area: The noise is present
I've tried to hear where the noise is coming from with a stethoscope and the throttle body is where it sounds loudest.
Could someone tell me what it could be? Has it happened to someone? If so, how have you solved it?
I would be grateful if someone could help me, because I am going crazy and it is very annoying to drive with that noise.
Thank you very much

Did you replace alternator or alteration pulley? You can download vimeo and attach a video with sound to the forum so we can hear and see.
Sounds like a failing alternator or PSP. See if you can replicate the sound with engine in the on position. Try with AC on and off. Scott also mentioned good point. Could very well be vaccum leak for TB breather hose. Or possibly even the gasket underneath TB might be shot. Try spraying some Sensor Klean around TB and all surrounding hoses with engine running. Listen for a change in rpms whilst spraying Sensor Klean on various hoses.
Are you getting any codes? I feel like a faulty TB would throw some codes and affect performance significantly. I recently repaired a high pitched whine that was a result of a shoddy PCVV. You'd be surprised how many odd components can make such weird sounds. If you can load a video, that would be helpful. Go to vimeo, create account and copy link to video.
