Harmonic Balancer done! But maybe a more challenging problem now

So, I did the harmonic balancer. Pretty simple and was going to post pics. Got her running and she ran great. Went out on a 2 hour joy ride to make sure everything was perfect.
Satisfied that she was ready to go, I headed home. Got to being a block away and she just shut down. Without any codes, I decided it was down to the crankshaft sensor or timing chain. Start easy, right? Go with the sensor.
Should have been a 5 minute job. But when I pulled out the sensor, most of it was still in the block. Are you kidding me??? I tried drilling, melting the plastic and even jb weld.
Does anyone know a trick to get it out without dropping the oil pan?

I thought I added that to my signature, maybe I didn't hit save. It is a 2001 with the 3.0. The crankshaft sensor is located right between balancer and alternator. When the balancer broke, must have caused the crank to hit the sensor, and jam the broken piece in there.
How sad is it that a little sensor may take longer and be more work than the balancer!
