Unhappy Has anyone gone to sleep with car unlocked?

My jaguar S type 2003 won't lock with the remote key or manually. Once you try locking it, it automatically opens again leaving the car unlocked and vulnerable for thieves. I need help fixing this technical issue. Again, when you try to lock the car with the remote key or manually, it locks and opens again almost immediately leaving the car unlocked all day and night. How do I go about fixing this?

It'll be one of the lock actuators. Search will get you lots of previous threads with fixes.

If it is the lock actuator. This link has a detailed write up for the rear door from Rick.

This link shows how to find which lock has failed and as JagV8 mentioned there is more information doing a search.

Are the interior lights permanently on?

Do you have a message in the dashboard about a door being open all the time?

A full scan of ALL the modules might shed some light on what the problem is.

PDU/WDS/IDS/Auto logic etc. can be used to read the B codes for faults.

The lights are all working fine but the doors. The lights go on and off normally.

Interior lights are working normally and perfect but the doors won't lock.
