Head gasket???
So my 03 S type R supercharged got hot and overheated and since then it started blowing white smoke from the exhaust. There's no oil in the spark plugs but some dripping on the the back of the exhaust side I was told. Is this the head gasket blown? I did have some misfire codes before but the guy I got it from took the cats and hollowed them out.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news: Smoke from the exhaust is bad news: White smoke indicates normally that coolant is entering into the combustion chamber. I assume you know that there are channels in the engine block all around the cylinders, where the coolant is being pumped thru. The likelihood that the white smoke indicates a blown head-gasket is high, but it could also be worse: Crack in the head or crack in the engine block... Or, as I experienced it on my E2000 Van: I did not realize that the coolant disappeared, the engine utterly overheated, and back then I did not know too much about cars and I filled water into the expansion tank while everything was still hot: Effect: The head warped! I needed a new head. I swapped not too long ago (after all those years) the head gasket of that van again, and I also just swapped the head gasket of my '97 Ford Fairlane. It's all doable - always a bit of a fight with the harmonic balancer though, but I would expect that to be a tick more difficult on a Jag - as always... Cheers, Peter

You can confirm by using one of these:
There are plenty of "how to" videos on its use on Youtube, etc. You also might want to add your location to your profile and post the expected "intro" in the New Members forum. After all, it is always nice to say "hello" prior to picking our collective brains, no...?
