Headlamps/sidelights and tail lights flash on unlock.
Bit of a long shot. As I have Google searched this for the last 2 nights.
While tracing a battery drain , I noticed that when I first unlock the car, the headlights / side and tail lights all flash. PATS light faintly lit when it's meant to be on the off flash.
The PATS light remains active, the doors unlock but the alarm is still armed ( I know this because if I open the door, the alarm goes off )
Battery is fully charged and drop tested.
Thinking the faults might be related I replaced and reprogrammed the DDM, ( DDM was second hand but a later version, from my old car, so I know it was good) but both faults remained.
I replaced the FEM as the switch system power relays were staying active. ( Also freed off potentially sticky ign key flap, last alarm data showing ignition key had triggered the alarm 5 of the 8 times} p.)
This is now cured, I have tried it 20 times over the last 2 evenings. I even tried it with headlamp auto on, I left the radio and A/C powered on, then switched the ignition.
I'm fairly happy the drain is fixed.
But the headlights issue along with a faintly lit PATS light is annoying me. While it's not the end of the world I know it isn't right.
I have tried the car in different locations to make sure there are no outside alien signals.
Any suggestions greatly received.
Looking at the diagram the FEM operates the front indicators, and I need to check what operates the rears. Might be the REM.
LOOKING FOR IDEAS. THANKS

DDM has been progranned.
FEM programming is just option programming wheel size and other things
The PATS light isn't actually on, it's faintly lit, then when it flaahes it is at full brightness. But like a bad earth.
Its fused one side and earthed by the IP according to the wiring diagram.
