Are all blubs the same color and brightness?
Last summer I had to have one head lamp completely replaced (it drooped...) and also needed the other bulb replaced at the same time (it was out). My dealer did the work (and I paid, for the complete new one...).
Ever since I've thought that they were slightly different in color and perhaps brightness. Is that possible? Should I take it back to the dealer and complain?

I would recommend you check if your ballast isn't out first instead of springing for new bulbs. You can hear the ballast working - it makes a slight buzz sound that you really need to listen for. Check the working headlight for the sound, then listen for it on the headlight that is out. When my driver side light went out I thought it was the bulb too until I investigated further and found that it was the ballast. Several people here have had their ballasts die on them, it appears to be another one of those amazing Jaguar quality parts.

>No not all bulbs are the same color or brightness. Color range from 3000k up to over 15000k.
That's what I thought, however I talked with the dealer today and all they would say is that they order OEM parts by listed number. There doesn't seem to be any variation provided in the factory parts lists.

You didn't offend me. No worries! Was just looking for the best price on replacement bulbs. Just finished replacing both lights. So stupid where they put some of the bolts! But all better now!

You Wouldn't Happen To Be Referring To The Bumper Cover Bolts Hidden Deep Inside The Fenders, Right Behind The Headlights Would You? Or Was It The Ones In The Middle Of The Lights, Going Straight Down Into The Chassis?

Yes the two bolts one on the inside and the one straight down behind the headlights! What a pita!
