Default Headlight Question:

Ok so I have seen where you guys have posted on fixing drooping headlights on here. But the thing that just started happening to my 07 STR tonight is the driver headlight is aiming straight down. Like it's not auto leveling itself like the passenger side is. Start the car, turn lights on, they both used to lower then raise to the position but now only the passenger side is moving. Think it could be a bad wire or is the motor smoked in the headlight?

Literally straight down or just a long way down? The screw fixes the latter. I don't know how "straight down" it extends to!

Sounds exactly like the same problem that Brutal described. Check here:

to test if its mechanically broke, get hold of main beam bulb holder and see if headlight reflectors are easy to move up and down? if they are solid has the other side it aint broke. then you are going to look for electric problem??

Tried Brutals repair and no such luck. Guess I'll be calling my insurance company tomorrow seeing if I can get this covered somehow...... To own a Jag I have realized you need a very good warranty or very deep pockets! Such a love hate relationship! Lol
