The Jag has clouded headlights that look beyond the sand/buff routine, so I purchased a used driver's side assembly from ebay. It was supposed to be in very good condition, but it arrived with the left/right adjuster broken. I did read (most of) the "how-headlight-repair-stype-faq-10745" entries, but they all seem to apply to the center (vertical) part being broken. Has anyone tried this for the horizontal mounting point on the adjuster, which is above the high-beam? If so, how has it held up?
It's an '07 (see sig line) with halogen lights.
I'd send it back, but the lens is in excellent shape & I don't want to have to open 2 headlights & then maybe have the existing one fail later. It's also too cold to be doing extended work outside right now.
The photo shows the broken mounting point separated from the adjuster block.
Thanks to all, especially Brutal, who has given me hope for this fix...
