headliner material

Motorcarman reported that the gent who used to do headliners for Autobahn Jaguar and other premium dealers in Fort Worth got his material from the BMW dealer....it is the thinner-than-normal stuff which prevents interference with the X300/X308 sliding inner panel on the sunroof - different than the S-type one - X30Y is slaved to the metal roof pane, not independently moveable.
But you likely don't need the thin stuff...you can send a photo or a sample to http://wlsheadliners.com/ and they'll suggest their best match. They did a fine job on 1995 VDP Nimbus Gray, FWIW.

I have always been able to get a very close or exact match. One of the secrets of the car business is that everybody buys from the same vendors.
Just be sure and bring a sample with you or send a sample if getting it mail order.
That's why I just found out a Toyota TPS plug will work on my 2005 STR. Even though Jaguar claims this can't be replaced without replacing the entire wire harness!
