I've done a lot of reading (and looked at pics on the JTIS and AllData) and I still cannot find the DCCV on the vehicle? Does anyone have a pic? I know what it looks like from the parts shops. But I cannot seem to locate it?!?!?!
Help?

The DCCV for your car is in the front of the engine compartment passenger side low next to radiator. you can see the top of it looking down youll see the red clip on the plug and the top of the 2 valves. Follow the heater core lines back and they will lead you right to it. Your DCCV has 5 hoses connected to it. If you can't find it I'll take a picture tomorrow and put it on the post
Why do you think your DCCV is bad?

Run your temp set point to hi and feel the air coming out then run your set point to lo and feel your air coming out. You should notice a change in the blower speed and temperature if your car is at operating temperature.
Even If the DCCV is bad 1 side or both sides you should get all hot or all cold air. Depending where the valves are stuck at. Unless your air conditioning needs to be charged and the DCCV both sides are stuck shut.
I just replaced my DCCV prematurely because of all the reading I did and no trouble shooting. The problem was with my A/C compressor. It was easier to change the compressor then the DCCV.

The A/C on the Jag works fine. But there is absolutely zero heat coming out when I turn it to heat. Even at max temp of 85oF there is no heat. No heat out of either side. There is airflow, but it is cabin temp if the recycle button is pushed or outside temp if it is not.
Got any other ideas of what it might be?

To get no heat like that means both sides of the DCCV are shut. The default is open. So, they're physically stuck/blocked or there's no flow (e.g. blocked cabin heater matrix) or there's power causing them to shut and the power isn't varying as it should. A meter will soon let you check whether it's a power issue. Measure from center of DCCV connector to each side with heat on max & with heat on min. The voltages at max & min should be very different. If not, check wiring and the module. I hope you've already checked fuses & relays!

Here are the pictures of the Dual Climate Control Valve on my 2001 S-type 3.0 it should be the same as yours. Also if your going to get a new one check the Lincoln LS cross reference post I found that the Motor Craft DCCV is about $50 cheaper than the Bosch Valve.
Also make sure you check fuse 1 (10 amp) power distribution block engine compartment passenger side. Its probably good but it is an easy check. With mine when the fuse was blown I had heat all the time on both sides just the oposite of you.
Under the receiver drier not a good picture! Under the upper radiator hose if you look closely you can see the top of one of the 2 valves.
If you are going to replace it you are going to need to jack the car up or use ramps and both belly pans will have to come off. You will be able to see the DCCV real good with both pans off.

Errr George, I just clicked that triangle, and it was to report abuse, spam etc.....
Richard (Translator) and I had a PM discussion just yesterday on the "report button" I never knew it existed!
Shall I report this post????

You can copy the link from the actual post # (next to the report triangular button) if you wish to refer to a specific post.
This should be post #10 in this thread:

The snag is that it doesn't show the thread positioned at that post, it just shows the single post. Great, if that's what you want.

Here's the Dccv r&r from Jtis.
This should help some.

George,
I just replaced mine 3 weeks ago; Removed the belly pans, then drained the coolant, removed all coolant hoses associated with the DCCV from the pipes not the DCCV; unbolted the DCCV lifted it up and removed electrical plug. Removed the 2 hoses that do not go to the heater core (this allowed me to get it out thru the top of the vehichle without moving the reciever drier) (not sure why you would have to remove the air intake tube?). Then installed the new one in the reverse order. Slightly different then what the JTIS shows.
haven't figured out how to quote post yet!
