Default Heating Problem 2000 S Type

I am having a bit of a heating issue with my 2000 S Type. The car temp warms up fine, but I only get warm air out of the passenger side and then only on low fan. If I turn the fan up the air cools down fairly quickly on the passenger side too. I do not get any warm air from the driver's side or in the rear. Any thoughts here? Thanks in advance.

Have you read the many threads here pertaining to the Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV) and its tendency to fail? If not, start there. A failed DCCV may be your problem....

Please read through the FAQ section.. Pay close attention to threads that talk about the DCCV (dual climate control valve)...hint hint hint..

One good thing... Early cars (pre '03) don't seem to suffer from the climate control module short caused by the DCCV as much..hint hint hint..

IF it's a 4.0 v8 car, the other thing you need to check is the aux water pump.

Those cars have an electric water pump to circulate coolant through the heating system.

Either way it's either a DCCV or an aux electric water pump (if it's a 4.0).

Read up, both have been covered, and you can use ford parts and save $$$.

Default HVAC Control Panel

I have run across several vehicles where the heater valve has shorted the A/C control panel and both had to be replaced

Yes, and let me guess..They were all 03 and up cars, correct?

That is very common..There is a DIY fix on this forum. The OP happens to have a pre-03 car however.

If anyone has a blown control module, I'd be happy to repair it for them. Just pay postage both ways and bear with my busy schedule.
