Heating Problem
#81
J have been reading all I can from this post and others and my heat problem seems to be different- heat is equal from passenger to driver but poor and since a cold snap last week very poor- I noticed that while I am driving I get some heat but it blows cold when I stop. Also it seems that the outer vents by the doors are much hotter than the centre vents which do not throw much if any heat- ac in summer was ok. This is only my second winter and it has always taken along time to warm up with no heat until temp gauge is in the middle. My mech suspects the dccv but I cannot afford to repalce the wrong part. Thanks Paul
Also make darn sure the heater coolant pump is functioning. It's down low on the fan shroud just above the DCCV.
Good luck!

Hi guys, im having an issue with no heat. Passenger side dccv is a few degrees different than driver side air
2002 Jaguar S-type 3.0 with no navigation
The lines leaving the dccv are hot so Im assuming this valve is working and there is flow. But I still get no hot air from the driver and passenger side. I have unplugged the dccv and still no hot air.
It almost seems as if the car is stuck blowing outside temperature air. I am thinking that the system is not closing what ever flap/door/gate that changes the venting from outside air to the air coming off the heater core. How would I check this....
