Help 04 4.2L P0750 Transmission fault code

Got a good OBDII software for my Bluetooth OBDLink scan tool today, It gave me the P0750 code stating 5th gear value/setting not right, I thought I saved the exact wording before I cleared the code, but I missed a step in saving, I only trip the fault when speeding up in 6th gear trying to past fast, if slow speed-up no issue, and if I use J-shifter 5 setting to pass quickly, I never have a issue, If I pull over right away and turn off engine after getting Fault light everything work normal when I start back up, can drive it hard to 6th gear, At 50,600 original miles now, replaced fluid at around 49,000 w/factory lifeguard 6 (pricey stuff). problem was occurring before I did that, purchased car at 46,000 drove 1,100 miles home from purchase site no problems. Any Ideas what is going on?

I just have a issue with when problem occurs, if a part is bad its bad,, you generally have a consistence problem all the time, which has me wondering if something else is causing code to trip, when I click further for more info I get a photo with no explanation of what looks like 2 bolts over a linkage here it is -

I'm going to take a look on my car.
wish had better photo of where this photo is dropped safety shield didn't see it.

What's 'original miles'? Are there some that are unoriginal?
That looks like part of the suspension, nothing to do with your transmission fault.

You maybe right, I don't see that photo anywhere near transmission, had read a few msg to check linkage bolts in and earlier post on this issue, gonna send msg where those bolts are located. the mileage was to cover if engine or tranny had been replaced before,, at 12 years you gotta wonder, if that could be a cause.

That picture is clearly not for an s type at all .
It shows a a front wheel drive set up ,
and the two bolts are sway bar mounts .
So forget that !
First thing you need to check is the trans fluid leval .
At the correct temp
I think you also need to un plug the matronics connector on the back of the trans and check to see if it's clean and installed properly .
With no oil present in the socket .
Failing that it will have a chafed wire inside the trans or the solenoid is sticking requiring a new one .

If your TCM harness checks out then you have to drop the pan, unbolt the TCM from valve body and visually inspect/test the solenoid.
Another viable solution could be as simple as a reflash of the TCM as your trans case may be wearing and might not have the latest programming in the TCM to account for wearing of the trans via fluid pressure values.
Hope the above helps...

Each forward gear has a solenoid. It could be sticking intermittently or there could be other causes (already mentioned in the thread)
