Help
Hello everyone, newto Jaguars, have found2006 S-Type 4.2with VDP with 34K for 18900 Hoping thats a good price, I was told very soft market right now. is there anything I should look for that could indicate a major problem. carfax showed no flags, only have this weekend to decide. Another buyer waiting
Any help would be appreciated. (Update) Credit says loan value is 26K and suggest maybe something wrong with car wondering if I pass on it.
I have posted in S-Type with no response, hope not same here as my wife is stressing over this issue, which means I will soon be stressing

RE: Help
Hi Vulcan, I'm sure there will be other opinions on this but here's mine. I never spend that kind of money in a hurry. If the seller cannot wait for a thorough check out, I would pass. As you say today's market is kind of soft, so finding another with similar or better options in that price neighborhoodshould not be a problem.

RE: Help
Agree w/ Jack John... this is a buyers market. Acting like the deal is going to get away from you is foolish. There are literally hundreds of great buys on really nice Jags out there. As my best friend Tom, who was a very successful real estate developer, used to say, " You'll never get a great deal if you are afraid of losing a good deal." gordo

RE: Help
check out http://www.texascarsdirect.com. You may find a nicer car for less. The only problem with that car is you have to go to Texas to pick it up and you have to arrange your own financing. The dealership might help you out, but can't say for sure. But, that will give you an idea of what the low end of the prices are. They have some of the best prices that you will find.

Thanks Thermo, checked http://www.texascarsdirect.com.They seem to have great prices. After browsing I found similarvehicles with like PKGS for around 21-23K, makes methinkthe deal here is pretty good. But I decided to take my time. If it's meant for me to get this one I guess it'll wait till I'm comfortable with it.
