Er..... the S-Types are pretty good at NOT leaking until there's a fault and the usual advice applies (to find and preferably fix the fault!).

OTOH, the faults develop rather more often than is right

Ouch. I have had the car in twice for coolant related problems. The first time, the upper hose was replaced. The second time - it got a new water pump and thermostat hoses.

I am pretty disgusted with the cooling system on these cars. Jaguar has built cars for 75 years and they still can't get the cooling system right.

I really need a manual for this car, but will not buy those virus infected non-working JTIS manuals to self diagnose. Been there, done that.

End of rant.

Upper hose change on a 8 or so yr old car? Happens all the time on every car I've ever owned, though not always as late as 8 yrs! (This is my 1st jag. Mainly Fords & GMs.)

Pretty much ditto on the others. Sorry I just don't see what your moan is.
