Hey good fellas,
My comprehensive warranty on my 01 s type v8 is expiring very soon and I'm trying to find possible future problems so I can fix it under warranty which I paid $3500....I'm shooting for the tranny, timing tensioners, dccv...WHAT ELSE IS A COMMON.. PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY MAJOR ONES AND DEALER ONLY PARTS?
I've been going thru previous threads but with work and school there is no time to finish even 10% of them..your help is greatly appreciated

 

If the car is not broken, I'm not sure why the warranty company would pay to fix something. It's too late now obviously, but it would have been better to put the $3500 in the bank and pay for repairs as required.

 

The previous repair they paid for wasn't an obvious broken thing,but when I knew about the common ball joint issue I checked them and indeed they were giving out and they paid for the replacement...I'm trying to do that with the rest of the common issues but mechanics usually skip things..it is still covered eventhough I don't have much time

 

You have an expensive car and are in school??

Big mistake. I would sell it and get something a student can afford.

Yes it was a big mistake..I was so hesitant to buy it..but a friend mechanic told me if I could afford the price and buy a warranty I should be ok..at that time I coluld so I did.
Anyhow I can't sell it for more than $5000..but It costed me about $14000 in car price,warranty,taxes,finance&interests..etc only 2 yrs ago
