I have a S Type 2005 positively with Bluetooth (because I was using it with my iphone 5 till date)
I had a connection problem and disconnected my bluetooth by using forget device from my iphone.
Now I just cant seem to get the ##3#*# button typed on my Radio. I have forgotten how to do it or what. I just cant get the # or the * typed on the screen. I dont know what I am doing wrong here.
I have the car off and the ignition in the II position on. I am pressing the phone symbol, it shows "No Phone" and then when I try to activate bluetooth by pressing ##3#*#, at that time, I cant get # typed.
Please help, I am going crazy, 10's of times I have done it, whats wrong this time. The buttons are ok, as the whole dial pad is working fine.

 

Sounds like it's got confused. Maybe disconnect car battery for 10 mins and retry.

 

Had a similar issue with my iPod retrofit. One of the iPod connectors was chafing and shorted out. Disabled the radio,cd and Jag voice. Took it to my Jag dealer and he sorted the short out and replaced the battery and I couldn't pair my phone which was good until the short problem. He could pair his phone and told me to was most likely a software issue between my Nokia and the Bluetooth in the car. He said wait a week for the software to reset and try again. It's not been a week yet so I haven't tried to pair my phone again. I will update if successful or if I need to buy a new phone.

 

From one West Aussie to another,did you get your problem sorted?I'm having similar problem with my 2007 X-Type in Mandurah,was working ok then went dead,any advice you can give??
