I have a 2006 S-Type Jaguar with Alpine Stereo....I just bought the
> Motorola IHF1000, , a Bluetooth handsfree system to install.
I gave Jag_genius my VIN and he was a great help and told me the
following about my vehicle and radio system...
“Its has cd changer and premium sound so that wud say it has an amplifier and
> has the loud speakers . Has 2 subs on the shelf . And a speaker in each door.
> And 2 tweaters in the front . It has 2 amps one for the subs and one for the
> rest of the speakers”.....
So I contacted a harness specialty shop and they told me this is what I needed.....
“If it has amps, it is pre-amplified Alpine/Audiophile system. You'd need
harness PR489 with extension cord EX899 and car kit > specific adapter AD825.
The total is $169.99 + shipping.
Yes, the harness connects to the amp in the trunk and extension is run to
> the front for the car kit install. Instructions are of course included.”
>
I would like to do the install with a friend who installed one in his ’04 X...but
It didn’t have amps and require the wiring to the amp in the trunk....
Does anyone have any detailed install instructions they can share for getting
the wiring to the trunk ....they would be GREATLY appreciated......
Thanks...
