Default Help with the name of parts in english

Hi guys. This week I took the car to the mechanic to rectify brake discs, change brake pads, and to see if some of the bushings or shock absorbers were bad.

Brake Discs can't be rectify anymore, need to change them and Came back with a list of part that need to be change, but if I translate from spanish (from my country) to english the name of the parts I will end up with a supermarket list lol

This is the first part, in my country they call it Piña, translation to english is Pineapple. The right side when it spins make a weard sound, the left one is smoth.

And now the second supermarket ítem, in spanish (in my country) is call Galletas, translation to english is Cookies lol. Both sides are gone.

The third part is not a supermarket ítem but can't find it with the name my mechanic gave me. Is suppost to be call lin or link. Left and right, front and rear

Front

Rear

Thanks In advanced for any help with the name in english from my shoping list

Your pineapple is a wheel hub. My experience here, starting at post #20:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-repair-39466/

in the front wheel wells, you are looking at sway bar links. See post #10 here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-repair-39466/

The rear is probably similar.

For the cookies at the top of your front struts, look in the suspension section here:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...671,suspension

Several choices for you. Just the rubber piece can be called a shock/strut mount or bearing. You may want to consider replacing the whole "shock/strut & coil spring assembly", which includes the cookie.

With discs you need to get the size right (various were fitted down the years) and then just a decent make (with an OK price).

Good point! This is often tricky. At least with the OP's car, a MY2001 it will be the 300 mm front discs and the 288 mm rears. There were no variations back then. The other thing to watch out for are the brake pad lengths, both front and back. The shorter ones fit with the stainless steel anti-rattle inserts. The longer ones omit these. I prefer the inserts as they protect the caliper carriers.

I have some info here (in the "other" Jaguar forum) tha might be of help.

Sway bar links are called “anti-roll bar link rods” in the UK. You can by them very cheaply on ebay.

https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...-s-type-parts/ I like to use these guys to get exact part numbers as a lot of us do and start looking. Never had an issue with their part numbers. Even as they change

Also known as stabilizer bar links!
My experience tells me not to buy no-name links. They start to rattle way too early for my liking even though they feel like there is no play in them when tested. My go-to products are the MEYLE-HD heavy duty models from Meyle. They are not expensive and widely available in Europe but I'm not sure about other geographies: Look out for:

Front both sides: 18-16 060 0002/HD
Rear Right: 18-16 060 0001/HD
Rear Left : 18-16 060 0000/HD
