Yup, trico makes the wiper blade, so they are the only ones that fit, and I've tried almost every other brand. I want to switch to the new solid type blade but no luck. Now anyone with a pre 2005 car can use any brand blade they want... Yay, Jag nice work on the wet arm wiper design..Almost wish I had the hood mounted squirters.....

Bull27 the link is not working? I am having this problem now and have not been able to find refills. At least I know it's Trico brand.

In our neck of the woods I can find Trico blade refills at NAPA and Advance Auto Parts. The last time I checked, prices were around $6 or $7 each. Note that the drivers side blade and passengers side blade are different lengths, so you'll have to be specific when you go looking for them. Better yet, just take your blades into the store with you to find the exact Trico blade refill fit....

Thanks for the link but same issue. I used their live talk and they found them for me. Autoparts Warehouse show only factory blades for the long 24" side and a Bosch number for the passenger 19" blade. HUGE difference in price!

WO133-1655646 $24.95 Factory drivers side 24" long
WO133-1637057 $6.95 Bosch passenger side 19" long.

I will try NAPA for Trico blades to get them quicker!

I just bought a set of Trico blades for my 06 from Advance. It cost me $30 for the pair.

Way back before last winter I spent a lot of time in the auto parts stores trying every brand blade to see if the clip with the built in nozzle would fit in replacement blades. It was almost comical. There I was, trying to fit the piece to all the blades they had. My driving force was the desire to replace the conventional blades with the newer solid type. No luck! The only "over the counter" blade that fits is a Trico standard blade. Beware of any cross reference that sells you a different brand, they will not work on a 05 and up S. It irks me so much I actually contemplated installing the hood mounted washer nozzles from the 04 and older S.... But the idea of drilling holes in the hood scares me....

I have an '03 and had the same problem. I ended up having to buy the wipers from the dealership. Cost twice as much as normal blades and it only included the rubber inserts, but was a lot easier to replace than fighting to get those stupid things off the arms.

Guys, I'll say it again, the solution is simple and cheap. Get the Trico refill inserts from NAPA or Advance Auto Parts. Just $6 or $7 each last time I checked (Winter 2009)....

The Advanced Auto Parts store I normally go to offers to help install the wiper blades. Not sure if it's a store wide policy but it never hurts to ask.

Yes agreed... But have you ever had to commute in near blizzard conditions? The conventional blade just clogs with chunks of ice and snow. My gripe is none of the newer style solid blades fit. The Jag wet arm wiper is the only one I've ever seen designed like that. Not that big of a deal I'm sure, until you're in traffic and you can't get the white salt spray off your windshield because the wipers won't clear it until you get the chunks of ice off.....It just drives me nuts....

On the rare occasions we get blizzard conditions here in our neck of the woods, our S-Type stays at home. That's what our RX330 all-wheel-drive is for....

Jeff:

I've seen this type of wet wiper arm before. I had a 1995 Chrysler LHS that used it. I'm like you - I wish the new design beam wipers would fit.

Finally got to NAPA and they had the correct ones in stock. It was a NAPA brade and does not say Trico on the package?

#60-1902 is the shorter 19" blade
#60-2401 is the longer 24" blade

Both fit perfect!!
Thanks for the help. The price was still $21 for the pair.

I also need blades and found this topic very helpful, but I only paid $10.86 out the door w/tax included @ NAPA.

#60-1902 $5.09
#60-2401 $4.99

Nope..The Jaguar blade is stamped with "Trico" right on it. I've only replaced them with the ones at the dealer. The problem isn't the blade it is the fact that the washer nozzle is built into the plastic retaining clip..So, even other forms of the Trico brand doesn't fit... The Napa solution mentioned here is probably the same metal frame blade sourced from Trico and branded as Napa.
