Default Horsepower for str

Just purchased a 2006 s-typr r and am already wanting to kickup the performance a bit. Any suggestions/recomendations of first things to do? Looking for best bang for the bucket...

Welcome, I'll answer this before the flaming begins. This exact question was asked yesterday in this thread...

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=34268

Amongst dozens of other threads.

As Riski said yesterday search:

Angry: I just think the fact that a post comes along every other day asking about upgrading the STR can get somewhat aggravating seeing as there has been so many (just yesterday as a matter of fact). Not to mention in all of the previous related threads, people have spent alot of time and put forth alot of effort in contributing information, knowledge and ideas to these said threads regarding upgrading an STR. I, for one, search a topic, read about other people's experiences and ideas, then post if there is any unanswered questions. There are no unanswered questions regarding this topic. Im just stating what I see, and I bet within the next week there will be another thread on the same topic even though we are sitting here writing about it right now. I think that is all JagV8 is trying to get across.

SJcat. sorry you got thrown into this and this site really is unbelievable for Jaguar knowledge, help, tips etc. I hope you didnt get the wrong impression and hope you stick around.

Every STR owner searches for more powerr......we just have to search sometimes on forums as well.....

Come late spring we will be having a custom Dyno tuning weekend in IL.....cheaper than any off the self tune you can buy!

So get your mods ready.....

Also will be working with the shop for lower crank pulleys and what not

Thanks - have to admit was put off at first by some of the responses. Wasn't familiar with the site (search/previous topics/how to view photos, etc) and was kind of introducing myself and asking a question... That being said I can understand the annoyance of having to rehash the same info again and again - definition of insanity!!!

I myself do not suffer fools gladly but I usually give a person a chance. As they say keep quiet and keep them guessing or open your mouth and remove all doubt
