How do I remove centre console?
Does anyone know how to get inside the centre console? I've tried looking in the manual but cannot find any details in there (mind you, it is nearly impossible to find the right page when there are over 5000 of them and they are not numbered in the contents page).
In fitting my LPG kit I want to put the changeover button in the centre console next to the gear selector, but don't know how to get a wire through. I see no mounting screws anywhere. Has anyone done this before?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

That thread has more details than you need, as it also covers replacing the shift cable. But it has good pictures showing how to remove the console.
About the only thing I'd add concerns the shift knob. Can't remember if it has to be removed or if you can work around it.
If it is to be removed, the wrench flats at the knob base are actually on a separate lock nut. You have to turn the lock nut down, away from the knob. Then the knob will unthread by hand. If you turn the wrench flats the wrong way, thinking it's all part of the knob, the lock nut just gets tighter and the knob doesn't budge. I do not care to discuss how I know this...
