Does anyone know how to update the satnav on my 2000 S-type please? I checked the stickies and the link on there doesn't work.

As far as i know the Nav DVD disks for the later cars will not work in your 2000 car.
Even with the later cars (from M45255 onwards) the last update DVD map is dated to 2011. So the maps are now 10 years out of date!

Early cars are CD, without updates, sadly.

 

That's a pity. My maps will be 22 years out of date! Maybe I will fit a new system.

 

There are 9 CDs for the United States.
I don't know where you are and I don't know about other countries.
You need to replace the Compact Disc when you drive into another area not covered by the one in the NAV unit.
People would drive into Texas from New Mexico or some other place and wonder why the NAV stopped working?
I would send them to the PARTS DEPT to buy a new CD. (I think it is TX. AR. LA. #6)
