i had to have a shop do it because they needed to remove the bumper, 2003 s type w/ projectors

 

Yup, I tried it for hours, until I decided to remove the bumper because I wasn't having it. A lot easier once the bumper is off...duh. BTW, the bumper wasn't that hard to remove.

I PM'd and site emailed you to let you know that I have a pdf of instructions from JTIS for removing the front bumper if you want it.

I've done about this 4 times already and the first time is kind of tricky, after that it's not so bad. I'm in the process of doing a retrofit with OEM
STR assemblies on my 2000. It is a pain in the *** to say the least. God forbid a bulb change is needed. You wont be able to change the
bulb without having to drop the bumper again. The back of the headlight assembly just about kisses the radiaoter cross member support.

Need some more info to clarify your question? By retrofitting headlights do you mean a headlight assembly swap? I believe Jaguar made some small changes to the 2003 S-type, I’m not sure if 2003 headlights would bolt right up? Can anyone confirms this?
