Hey guys, just joined this forum to say thank you sooooo much BRUTAL. I noticed that my dad's jag's lights have been pointing down recently and he went down to the dealer to check out what's wrong with them and see how much they'd charge to get them fixed. Needless to say, the shop said it would cost in the 2k range to get them replaced. I've been looking around for a solution like this and so glad I stumbled onto this thread, this saved so much money and now my parents don't have to panic every time they go down a road with no street lights.
I tried this fix last night and worked really well and is really simple, saved a ton of money on this too. Once again, thanks a lot!

Brutal,
Thanks for replying.
My 2003 STR headlamps are cloudy and old looking. I have used the product with various grits of sandpaper on the outside and this has not improved them whatsoever.
Plus, the lights are stuck in the down position and I am not handy enough to perform the repair correction posted within this thread.
So I'd like to purchase two working HID headlamp assemblies and have them installed by the dealer. The autoleveler would then work properly as well.
Please help.
Thanks for replying.

Hello brutal thanks for tip on fixing hid lazy eye. I have the one with the chrome piece inside, let me get this right, drill and insert screw till it touchs chrome piece. Right? What part of the chrome piece is it supposed to touch? Top? Middle? I get the idea of how it will work, just not sure on where exactly to insert screw. Your pic was clear but i dont have that white piece as in your pic. Thank you Qbin

...any chance you can make a video on how to replace an Air filter, with Baffle flap removal thats located in the air box? I know replacing an air filter is easy but its always nice to show whats the easiest way to remove the air filter cover off without breaking the small clips around and replacing it back on

. About the Baffle Flap removal if you can't remove yours or already have done so, could you just show where its located in the air box and screws to remove it?
Thanks again Vance, keep it up![Icon Bike](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_bike.gif)

Hey Brutal, I tried this and it worked just fine on my 2003 S-Type. i did however use stainless #12Truss screw and cut the tip off and took it to the grinder to put a flat edge on the front. i didn't like the idea of that point digging nto the chrome plastic. Thanks so much for the tip, now it's off to learn how to replace the Xenons. I have one that starting to go....Later
