60k miles on mine runs great!
Out of normal oil/filter changes this is what I got done in last 3 years of ownership.
1) Oxygen Sensor 1
2) Oil pan gasket
3) New Fuel Pump
4) New DCCV
5) New Coolant Reservoir Tank
6) New 2 Front Upper Control Arms
7) Transmission Service with new Pan, Electric Sleeve and Fluid
8) New AC Compressor
9) New Coolant Hoses
10) Some small DIY jobs
Jaguar Rear entertainment system installed myself.
All above is about $5500 of work, mostly done under warranty except coolant hoses and reservoir.
Rear control arm bushing is also almost gone but no noise/knocking yet..
Planning to keep it running as most of the stuff that breaks has been renewed

This on a 2006 4.2. I'm the original owner. The car has lived most of its
charmed life in the Pacific Northwest where we have plenty of moisture
but it's the soft water (rain) kind. The usual problems...DCCV, CCM, rear
end (replaced under warranty) and leaking tranny cooler lines.
I tend to change oil on the average of every 6K miles and the last oil
analysis performed at 135,000 showed the engine to be in perfect shape.
In the next week or two, I'll post a copy of the report. I'd estimate that
90% of the miles are 'highway' miles where the motor loafs along at
about 1,600 RPM.
The last time I was at the dealer, I asked them if they would purchase
the car for the current wholesale price as I was looking at a 2009 XK.
Now keep in mind this car is pristine..no door dings, accidents..nada,
none, zip. And, the interior is perfect and everything works. The dealer's
response was 'not no, but hell no'. He suggested I take it to Billy Bob's
Bar and Grill and Used Car Lot. In essence, you have a better chance
of selling a used 1985 Honda Civic than a high miles S. Oh well, that's
the reality of Jaguar ownership.
My response? The car looks great, gets compliments, is a comfortable
long distance cruiser and gets decent gas mileage. What the hell...if
I can't sell it, I do believe it will make an attractive casket!
