what I could was only open the half of the lid and thats all.
When I kept trying to open, I could find that every other plastic part connected with air filter box was in motion.. tell me easy way guys! thx!

 

Release the two front clips.

Lift up the front edge and push back to release it from the plastic tabs in the back.

You should now have enough room to remove the filter.

If not... remove the hose clamp that is attached to the intake tube and the filter box. The lid should come all the way off then.

Reverse to put it back on....

 

I know it's a little tough but it comes off with a little maneuvering.

 

I've found it much easier if you remove the tube from the airbox to the throttle body. It takes about five minutes or so. Once you do that then the airbox cover opens up about 8" or so after you unsnap the outer two tabs.

Glad its not just me. I was having the same problems.

 

Hose was too tight to take it off from air filter..omg lol.
hm,, I think i have no ided for doing that by myself.. maybe I shoud ask auto shop when I change the oil. Anyway thanks a lot guys!
