how upgrade s type 2.5L to 3.0L

hi
i am has jaguar s type 2.5 v6 2005
i am want change to 3.0
some people told me not there difference in engine between 2.5 and 3.0 so the problem in EUC this true or not
what is parts need to do this also how??!
