How to use Sat Nav whilst driving
I know we have been through this before and it led onto if you should be using sat nav whilst driving. I would not use it myself whislt driving, but my passenger could. So is there any way to switch off the feature that stops you entering addresses in the Sat Nav when moving?

One way to do this is to find the lead to the antenna (hear its in the rear window) and put an inline switch on it. If the antenna senses that its not moving then you can do any adjustment needed to the GPS system but not sure what type of cable/coax it uses. It is one of my bigger frustrations with the car.

The one way that I have heard of is a software fix that some gent in the UK was selling. It worked only on the DVD based GPS systems but he sold you a DVD, you put it in and it ran for a while and evidently changed some code in the unit, and afterwards would allow you to work while moving.
Do not know the gent but might keep an eye on Ebay in the Uk for this.

So pull over for 2 minutes. It's no big deal. At least IMO.

IMHO its a stupid design feature, mandated by lawyers and needs to be removed from the unit. Try pulling over in the I-35 "mixmaster" during 5 PM rush hour traffic and report back to us how everyone liked your doing it.
