Default HVAC codes

I need to find a scanner that does HVAC codes. I read that 930i does, but wondering if any others out there are more reliable.

Keep in mind that the i930 can be flaky from vehicle to vehicle. Mine works fairly well on our two Jaguars but it will not even communicate with Wayne's (cjd777) 2000 XK8. If you purchase one, make certain it comes with a fully-refundable return policy....

I found that if you use it i930 works very well when I use it on automatic diagnosis. I have heard that they can be a bit problematic when used on manual.

For the engine I use a elm or a mongoose clone.
The difficulty with the mongoose is getting the Sdd program to work but once you do it works quite well for the diagnostics.
