Grace, Space, Pace were the keywords in Jaguars advertising campaign in the 1960s. They equally apply to the S-type as well. S-type Jaguars evoke the happy period of this era in their styling and overall presence. Mine is a V6 s-type with the ZF automatic transmission. It gets close to 30 mpg on the freeway at 75 mph and manages 22-23 mpg in the combined stoplight infested driving common here in Florida. One of the best parts about this car is the price. For the price of a used Hyundai, I got the best of what the UK offers. I am going to drive and keep it for as long as I can.

Hi,
I love my Jags ( 2000 S-Type and 1986 XJ6 SIII) My S-type 3.0 has been the best car I've ever owned and is definitely the most satisfying to drive. I bought it new in 2000 and now have 71K miles on it. Other than regular maintainence my only repairs have been for window regulators and the coolant reservoir bottle.
In my opinion, its still one of the best looking cars. The styling captures the classic beauty of the Jaguar marque and offers the best balance for driving performance and luxurious comfort. Its also extremely fuel efficient if driven for that purpose as my lifetime mpg average is over 27mpg and a best tank average of 36 mpg.
This is a great car and I hope Jaguar can continue to survive and build great cars.
