My S-type has worst driver seat. I was driving my dad's Focus, no lower back problem, it felt perfect!
I don't really want to drive POS Focus, but Deville and Town Car are great cars with "old fart" type suspension.
Anybody else with lower back problem? It is well known fact that European cars have firm suspension.

I have lower back issues from my football career decades ago. My 2005 S-Type provides good support for my particular lower back injuries once I get the seat adjustments just right. Not as comfortable as my 1999 Dodge Ram pickup, but close. Try various seat adjustments before you give up. If you already have, best of luck to you with whatever you decide to drive. It is indeed important to minimize or eliminate back pain while driving....

I don't know if that's either true or 'well known' but the Ford Focus is a European car for much/most of the world.
My S-type is the most comfortable car I've ever owned, and I suffer from lower back pain.

No I use the exercise for the feet (clutch brakes and throttle). The neck exercises are moving the head to check speed, mirrors and blind spot when overtaking. The arm exercises are steering and gear stick.
Forgot one neck excercise Holding head forward whilst pulling away fast from the traffic lights.
I don't know what the exercise are in an automatic

I bought a Focus 1.6 Ghia X auto with very low miles as a stopgap and it was a really nasty car. It didn't have any comfort in the seats or the driving position. The seats were high up and it felt like sitting in a goldfish bowl. We couldn't stand being in the car for over an hour because it put us both in agony. My little lady and I that is.
The car was scary with its total gutlessness ! Hitting the gas pedal had no discernable effect even with the engine sound. Using kick down just made it scream and not go any faster. The handling was vague, no driver feedback. No leg support on the seat base, nowhere to rest your right leg while driving. It did everythng it said on the tin in an excepotionally average way. The car was just a MEH. I ditched it within a year it was too uncomfortable.
Buying a Focus would be a real retrogarde step.
