michal, earlier this month I had the Magnaflow x-pipe installed along with complete 2 1/2" pipe conversion all the way to stock resonator onward to Magnaflow mufflers. The x-pipe smoothed the exhaust impulses and effectively emits all 8 cylinders out of each exhaust pipe, making for a small 16 cylinder engine sound track. Along with 2 1/2" pipe the tone is more mellow now than with 2 1/4" pipe, perhaps a small loss in torque too. Tomorrow the stock resonator comes off to be replaced with separate 12" resonators. Without resonators the exhaust pitch is too loud for my personal taste.
I didn't perform this exhaust mod for sound efffects while sacrificing torque, but as a prelude to headers, supercharger modification along with an ECU dyno tune. I'll likely have the S/C ported & polished w/pulley reduction or a re-gear of internal drive ratio.

I can't recall whether I had asked that before, but is the 2.5" internal or external diameter. If internal, it will be more like ID=2.36" which is the same ID as Miltek exhaust by the way.

michal, the 2 1/2" pipe is outside diameter or 2.36 inside diameter.
