Intake Manifold

Intake Manifold
Have a 2001 S-Type. If the top intake manifold is removed when it is re-installed do the top 8 bolts have to be torqued and is there a specific order in which they have to be installed. If torqued what is the setting.
Appreciate responses.
Reason for removal is want to install 3 new coils and plugs.

Yes you need to retorque the bolts. Sorry I cannot remember off hand the sequence or Nms. Search for JTIS free here on site or spend a couple bucks on alldatadiy.
You may run into a problem with those bolts spinning around and not unthreading from their brass threaded cylinders. Don't panic, remove as many as you can then gently pry up on bolts, remove brass cylinders and epoxy back into sleeves.
I would highly recommend that you replace a 90 degree elbow that is located under the lower intake manifold on your model year. It removes easily but I have read that its quite a bear to put he new elbow back on. Some have used WD40 others silicon, just a tight place to work. Replace both sets of gaskets as well (lower intake and plenum).
