Default Interesting result after changing rear wheel bearings. WSS faults

So I did massive suspension overhaul this weekend and when I was done I got some DTCs for wheel sensor faults ABS faults and traction control. Left and right rear wheel speed sensors had faults such as C003A and P05somethiing. Basically fails for left and right rear wheel sensors. Cleared the faults and they reappeared soon after.

They work befor. I checked the connections and found both connected but when I looked at the contacts I saw both connectors had fluid in them from where I degreased and cleaned up the wheel wells and other suspension components. So I dried it out and sprayed with contact cleaner.

Reconnected but still had faults.

Ran SDD and followed diagnostics and got confusing results in that it showed the sensor input was shorted to +12v. Started looking at the harness from the sensor and the cable looked like it was covered in the corrugated plastic tubing the taped over with black duct tape. And something was dissolving it as it was sticky as hell. Thought maybe someone was in there and repaired it but it seemed to have a jag or ford sticker on one end so IDK

tried best I could to look at the harness by the differential but it was too tight for my massive hands. Managed to disconnect one connector and it seemed fine. Put it all back together and viola no more faults.

Who knows. Here are some pics

It was a BITCH to get the axle to press out of the hub. Took several hours of banging, pressing, torching, penetration oil. It finally broke free

Punch the hub out but got stuck with a race on the shaft. No way to grab it. Ended up cutting two slots in it w cutting wheel and bearing separator grabbed it and pressed pushed it off. Finally

Found previous own had both brake pads installed in the reverse positions so one pad (piston side) rode up and wore like this. Rotor had a ledge on it. More parts to buy.

After installing first timkin bearing I noticed the second bearing had markings on it from SKF. First bearing had nothing. Figured it was a counterfeit so I returned it to Amazon and got a National bearing locally.

Figured id clean up the rims

Much better. You aint cool if your chrome dont shine!

Dirty.

Replaced upped control arms. New left. Old right

I had to press the bushing in more on my replacement upper control arm because they installed the bushing offset and it wouldnt got in. I will find the pic. Hang on

Upper arm installed and degreased a lot. Looks way better

Here you can see they didnt press the bushing in far enough (lower arm I got from Moog from amazon) its offset to the left so the arm couldnt be installed no matter how much I tried to force it. Luckily I JUST BOUGHT A 20T PRESS from for this task. I mean harbor freight. Been want a press for a long while but didnt want to pay$1000 for a good one. But this one is good and for $145, I have planty left over if I need to buy some steel to reinforce it. So far its worked well on its first project!

Go on eBay and search Jaguar brake caliper decals. They come from Serbia but they're worth the wait they are about six to seven bucks a set and I put them on my car and they look factory you'll be really impressed. they have two sizes if I remember right and the bigger ones are the ones that fit just perfect.and I think they come in different colors so you can paint that cover whatever color you like to go with the decal color...the rear takes the small one

Cool thanks for the post!

My rear tie rods looked just like that too. I replaced them but all my other bushings looked ok.
