Interior lights stay on...help!
Start driving car & noticed that interior lights did not go off.
Checked to see if I had bump any type of switch on the dash dimmer etc.
Got home and checked trunk....sure enough I had some water (small amount)from recent rain and thought that my lighting issue could be related to the water.
Lights will go off in approx 10 min. but stay on when car is running. Checked fuses and relay, but wasn't sure which to truly check. When Relay #4 in the trunk was removed, the interior lights would go off, but the tail lights would light dimly? If I pulled Relay #4 and fuse #5interior& tail lightswould be off.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Almost forgot....Have a 2000 with 3.0 and 105,000 miles factory navigation and advanced intergrated voice option

RE: Interior lights stay on...help!
2000 S Type interior lights will remain on with car running if all doors are not closed tightly . . . will fade down at normal driving speed and then re-light as you slow down, until all doors are closed properly . . . OR check switch on overhead console to make sure you do not have int lights turned on with master switch . . other than those two, not sure off top of my head . . oh, yea, if all doors not closed properly, int lights can remain on up to 30-40 minutes. . . hope one of these help you out . . .

RE: Interior lights stay on...Fixed
Thanks for the reply!
All doors were closed tightly, wasn't to sure on the master switch at the time.
I had removed the #5 fuse in the trunk distribution box over night and reinstalled it this evening - - it is working correctly now.
Also, did turn the master switch in the overhead counsole on and off a couple of times prior to putting in the fuse and noticed that in one position (assumed on) I could not dim the dash lights, and in the other position (assumed off) I could dim the dash lights. Perhaps I had bumped it
Much appreciated!
