Interior Wood Colors and Grains

Interior Wood Colors and Grains
A couple of other threads have prompted me to ask about this. I've read about how Jaguar is attentive to matching all the pieces of interior wood trim in each car and how no 2 cars are exactly alike. And I've read about different types of wood being used in different models. But I've never seen any listing for the woods (like paint code type numbers for wood?).
My 06 S-Type has 2 very different wood types inside. When I bought it, the dash and center ashtray lid had one type - a light caramel color with a very turbulent "waves crashing on the beach" grain. The doors and the main part of the center console had a much darker milk chocolate color with a more subdued longer wavy grain. I had an unrelated problem with the ashtray lid and that piece was replaced under warranty with new wood that matched the transmission portion of the center console. So now just the dashboard is different from the rest.
It's not unattractive, actually looks quite good this way with the champagne/mocha interior. So I'm not complaining - just wondering if it's normal. And what kind of woods are they?
And BTW, all the wood in my X-Type is matched exactly throughout that car and does not match either wood seen in the S.

The last couple of posts have been helpful. There don't seem to be any good closeup pics of the madrona and walnut veneers in cars but there are some good images on sites that sell sheets of veneer for furniture.
It appears that my car likely has a madrona dash while the rest is walnut. Which also means the center ashtray cover was madrona when I bought it - before it was changed to walnut. It's actually an attractive combination with the interior colors but from every indication it's not "normal." Or is it?
(I haven't yet located the tsb on fading madrona but it must be in one of the lists?)
