Intermittent no start Jaguar S type 2.5 2003
Car intermittently fails to start at random times of day. When ignition key is turned it is just dead, nothing happens. No lights show on dashboard. Can try again a few minutes later and it may start. Had new batter around 6 weeks ago, replaced it again today, just in case. Problem still occurs. Any ideas please?

Is the MIL on and are there any DTCs stored in the system? If so, post them here.
Check for water in the boot around the battery and then check the battery voltage across the terminals. It should be a minimum of 12.6 volts with the ignition off for at least ten minutes. Just because a battery is new doesn't mean it's fully charged, or doesn't have a weak cell.
