iPod interface for '05 S-type ??
Anybody make an interface for the 2005 S-type with the standard factory radio/single cd player? All I've been able to find is the universal in-line radio antenna converter - giving you only a mini-phono pin plug, not an iPod plug. That won't charge the iPod, so play time is limited or you fill the interior with a bunch of patch cords. --b44

what about the one from jaguar?
I have it in my 05 STR and it works great! It has a plug for an ipod, a usb port for a jump drive, and an audio in (red/white plugs). It has a switch on it to bypass the cd changer.
It works great. I think its called the Audio Connectivity Module or some jazz like that.

From what I've read about the Jag version you can install it yourself, but have to have the Jag Techs initilize it though software/hardware to activate the CD Changer input if not already installed.
After learning all the cost for Jag's product I researched bluetooth modules and found the Parot MKi9200 http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/b...-free-car-kits.
My wife loves it for her 2+ hours in traffic everyday and I did the intall myself in about 3-4 hours. SOT-082 iso leads are required and cost about 12-20 dollars. Found the Parrot on Amazon the month it was released for a decent price. Paid less than 300 for everything.
Now I have hands free call, voice recognition, multiple phone profiles, Iphone/Touch connectivity, SD card or USB thumb drive music connectivity.

I had my dealer install the Jaguar ACM in my '05 XJ8. I don't have nav in the car. It works as the CDC; playlists 1-4 are treated as CDs 1-4; CD 5 plays all music, and 6 takes you into the interface, but is very sluggish. No display on the tuner. But, sound is direct, and you can forward reverse from the radio. The steering weel control can skip but cannot forward/reverse. I'm pretty certain it should work in your '05 S-type.
Good luck.
Good luck.
