After 3 flushes, the resulting mix still contains a pinkish tinge. Bear in mind that the water is clear, and the Zerex is straw coloured. So the pink is from the previous fill.

The reason that I usually don't mention a changeover is that it cannot be guaranteed that a reader will take the proper precautions in flushing. Lots of people are too impatient. Only someone who knows exactly why and what they are doing should make such changes. The people who fall into this category do not need to ask.

FYI, Zerex G-05 is a variant of the BASF Glysantin formulation licensed by Valvoline from BASF. It is a HOAT type, that is Hybrid Organic Acid Technology. It meets the specs for the old Jaguar yellow. It is also used as a replacement when refilling various Ford and Mercedes vehicles. The Dexcool is a OAT type, Organic Acid Technology.

edit: the most dangerous types are the "univerals". the label tells you nothing, and the vendor sites tell you nothing. they just want you to buy it.
.....yeah mine is still very slightly pinkish color too even though I didn't do a flush, I still had a little of the oem Jag fluid in the radiator but even though the ZEREX G-05 mixes in well. I used the 50/50 pre mix. Took about 2 gallons almost of it to reach max.

Plums for which car and year did you add the Zerex G-05 to?
