Well I've finally sold the s type after having it up for sale for a few months.
It was not getting used and just sitting there, the only time I used it was to stop it seizing up.
The person who bought it didn't have a clue about jags or any car for that matter, which is a shame cos I doubt they'll be able to maintain it properly.
Ahh well, I got the full asking price.
Time to look for another project to keepme occupied,
I'm thinking XJR or xkr, I've just got to convince the wife that having more cars than we actually need is not a waste of money!!!!
Mine doesn't understand I actually enjoy working on them and can't for the life of her see why I would buy a car just to have to work on it.

Show her the amount of money you save by buying used since Jags don't hang on to their value very well. Then ask her if you really need all the house you currently have, and how you could downsize to a garage with a cot and a hotplate and that is all you need
If you need a place to stay afterwards, you are more than welcome to use my couch!

The good thing is I don't need it as a daily driver, just a "weekend project", so an older tatty car shouldn't be a problem, as long as it's structurally sound and not to bad mechanically it should keep me busy for a year or so.
I get as much enjoyment from fixing a fault as I do from driving it.
